Deer Isle granite is a famous stone and has been used as decorative material in building facades and monuments. Notable landmarks include The New York Stock Exchange, Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts, the memorial to President Kennedy at Arlington National Cemetery. The medium to coarse gray grain of this stone and its warm mauve, gray, cream tones make it a timeless classic, excellent for use in building facades, landscaping and hardscaping, monument and memorials. Quarried in the US for over a century, Deer Isle granite is a very traditional American stone.
